Maternal Mental Health Matters

1 in 7 new moms suffers from Postpartum Depression.

Our goal is to promote postpartum wellness and bring awareness to maternal mental health issues.  Baby blues is a common feeling most women experience post-birth.  However, 15-20% of pregnant and postpartum women suffer from a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder.  That is an estimated 600,000 women a year!  We look to groups like Postpartum Support International, National Coalition of Maternal Mental Health, the ACOG (American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists), Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, and NWHN (National Women's Health Network) to keep us informed and up to date with issues regarding our health.  We want mothers to know that what she feels is common, and not a taboo.  She is not alone.  There are many ways to get help.

$1 from each sale will allow us to make a donation at the end of the year to 2020 Mom - a national organization whose mission is "Closing gaps in maternal mental health care through education, advocacy, and collaboration."
